Vintage Fans.Com had the privileged of restoring and donating this antique Emerson Trojan 12" desk fan to the University of North Texas Emerald Ball Silent Auction
taking place on the March 01, 2008. This worthy event raises scholarship funds for students with a ton of drive to succeed, but limited financial resources.
We were honored to participate and have a special connection with UNT as Vintage Fan's employees' two alumni of the University and one of Vintage Fan's finest craftsman has a daughter that is currently an undergraduate at the University. If you have an interest in bidding on the fan, you can contact us or email the University of North Texas directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The UNT donation fan is a 1910 Emerson Trojan Ornamental Type 51646 stationary wall mountable desk fan. The fan has an extensive 45 plus hour restoration including a custom dark green Glasurit Automotive Urethane finish.
As with all of our restorations, nothing was overlooked. The entire fan is 100% original (with the exception of the new finish) including the blade wings that were disassembled fromt their hub and hand worked to remove all damage from the nearly 100 years of use.
The restoration included new aircraft quality custom machined bearings fabricated for this specific motor. All the brass work was machine buffed in three stages and clear coated to protect the finish.
Please see our restoration process area for details on the other procedures that were performed to this fan. The fan is a gem that we hope produces a ton of funds for the Emerald Ball Scholorship Fund. Other features of this beautiful fan are:
• Dimensions- 12" Blade Diameter
• Cast Iron Frame and Motor Housing Construction
• Emerson Trojan Twin Bearing Design with Continuous Wick Lubrication and Twin Oil Ports. No Oil Cups to Refill.
