Welcome to our Spring/Summer Edition
of EXTRA! EXTRA!
The Official Vintage Fans.com Newsletter.
Thank you for using some of your valuable time to read the VintageFans.com newsletter EXTRA! EXTRA! This time we combined the spring and summer newsletter together since we are almost officially in the summer. Here in Texas it’s felt like summer already, but no 100 degrees yet! This newsletter features a most important and very special inclusion about Ronnie Steves, a 16 year old girl from New York State that has leukemia. Ronni was approached by the Make A Wish foundation and when asked what she really wanted, she stated a 1969 Dodge Charger. This first came to my attention in the June issue of Mopar Collector’s Guide and my hat is off to all those who are making Ronni’s dream come true. We have included all the information one would need to donate parts, funds, and labor to this project right here. Please get involved and help Ronni see her dream. I have been informed by Mike Meeks that everyone is working hard to try and have the car ready for the Mopar Nationals in Columbus, OH. in August. There is much more work to be done and the car still needs a lot of work. Everyone is working overtime to reach this goal for Ronni and donations will help to buy the much needed parts that are not already donated. We will update on our blog as progress continues on this extremely worthy cause.
Speaking of Chrysler, I wrote a very long winded article entitled “ So Long Mopar, The General and the American Way? If it makes some of you out there upset, well we can’t always be happy. We have a unique perspective based on the work we do here working on products that were built in this country 60 to 110 years ago. If anything, I hope “So Long Mopar, The General and the American Way? “ makes you think about the U.S.A. and where we are headed.
Other articles include “Hearts as Big as Texas” about the Montague County Texas Fires and Fundraiser a successful event that truly made a difference in a lot of peoples lives, an article on number one, the one that started this Odyssey and Vintage Mule.
Thank you for your time and please look for our next Newsletter in the fall.
Best Regards,
